Recent cases and imminent changes in legislation

 

This update is intended to give you a brief summary (and reminder) of the recent changes and imminent changes to the law relevant to insolvency and restructuring scenarios and provides a summary of two recent cases.

 

Companies Act 2006

 

The sections of the Companies Act 2006 ("CA 2006") relating to the holding of meetings of shareholders and, in particular, consent to short notice was introduced in October 2006 and those relating to the passing of resolutions are due to be introduced in October 2008.
